Egg Code: 1UK17146
Your free range egg was produced on Tom’s farm, set in Morton, Shropshire
The range has been enhanced by planting native trees giving hens natural cover, and there is a programme of planting which means hens will have more cover encouragaging them to roam further. Tree species have been selected as part of a Bio-diversity Action Plan specific to the farm. It means the trees and shrubs will complement what already exists and will enhance the environment for local wildlife too.
Tree species include Sessile Oak, Downy Birch, and Wych Elm. Hedges are planted with Hazel and Hawthorn.
You will find rich wildlife in the area, includes name species – e.g., Song Thrush, squirrels and deer.
The free-range egg business is also run alongside Tom’s dairy herd.
